Yesterday our Senior B hockey team were out for their first game in the cup competition in a local derby against Ashton. The girls started off excellently with 2 goals in the first quarter coming from Amelie Curran and Aoife Maye after a wonderful mazy run from Orlaith Murray.
Ashton came out stronger in the second and third quarters but we kept them scoreless after an excellent goalkeeping display from Scarlett Peterson.
The final quarter was similar to the first with 2 more goals coming from Kate Ellis and Amelie Curran.
A 4-0 win and the girls are through to the next round of the cup where they will face St Augustine’s Dungarvan.
