5th and 6th year Agricultural science classes made the trip down west to Clonakilty today.
They attended the annual Farm Walk and Talk that takes place in Clonakilty Agricultural college. The ladies expanded their knowledge in the area of sustainability, Dairy production, Lamb production and health and safety. They travelled from talk to talk where visiting speakers enlightened them in varying areas regarding the Leaving Cert Ag Science course. Some of the highlights included seeing a fully automated Milking Parlour, holding some new born Spring lambs, and talks on the wide range of employment opportunities offered from the agricultural sector in Ireland today.
A successful and enriching experience to say the least!
