The students are currently en route home after an unforgettable and thoroughly enjoyable week.
The group were savouring every last moment on the slopes as they continued to take on more and more challenging routes over the last two days of skiing. The instructors attempted to guide the students to refine their ‘parallel skiing’ technique which allowed them to navigate slopes more effectively and efficiently. This was the focus for the group as we neared the end of our trip.
Friday evening was spent huddled around small screens for those who were interested in cheering on the boys in green.
Saturday was the last day skiing for the girls which was bitter sweet. It was rewarding for the girls to think about how far their ability has progressed in a week but it was also signalling the end of a fantastic week. The girls continued to navigate the slopes with ease and poise on their final day of skiing.
Everyone also received ‘grading cards’ from their instructors which outlined their level of skill on a scale of one to seven.
The teachers received outstanding feedback on the students from the instructors. The students were praised for their willingness to learn, their determination and their courtesy.
The group proceeded to travel two hours to Verona for the last night on Italian soil.
A later start in the morning was relished by the group because many needed to catch up on their sleep and rest.
Now, the girls are en route home and they are eagerly looking forward to their own beds and of course, getting back to school!
The girls were a pleasure to have on the trip for the week and we hope they have made memories to last a lifetime.
