Junior Soccer Team

The Junior Soccer Team got knocked out of the Junior Munster Cup today against Crescent Comprehensive Limerick. The final score was 5-1 to the opposing team, however, the score line did not accurately represent how even the game was.
Our team controlled most of the possession in the first half and had a few great chances to score but due to two counter-attacks, Regina Mundi were left 2-0 down at the half time break.
We came out fighting after half time and Mia Quille managed to bring the deficit down to one goal. We tried to push for the equaliser and we came up with good chances but unfortunately, we couldn’t make the break through.
Crescent proceeded to go through on goal to make the score line 3-1. We continued to push for a way back into the game but Crescent continued to press and they got some excellent shots off which led to more goals at the end of the game.
The girls couldn’t have given more to the game so we are proud of their efforts. These players still have the local cup games to look forward to.
