Well done to Julie Murray 5Z who has won the final of the Rotary Youth Leadership Development competition. The competition aims to enhance personal development and improve communication and teambuilding skills. Students learn life skills, as well as gaining confidence in public speaking and debate.
The first round of the competition was held in school. Julie and Rosie Morley 4Z progressed to the second round held at Nagle Community school. Julie then went on to the final held at Mallow Golf Club last Wednesday.
The prize is a five day all expenses paid trip, in January 2025, which includes a visit to the European Parliament in Strasbourg, to take part in Euroscola where young people will become an MEP for a day. Well done to all who participated!
